Key aspects of this role:
- Lead the team of system administrators.
- Point of contact for the team for any technical or process issues
- Train the team on the technical aspects
- Help and guide the team members in the tasks that they are not able to proceed.
- Make sure that all the tasks are performed with Quality and within the SLA.
- Conduct the technical trainings for the team
- Attend the client calls and meetings such as CAB meetings.
- Investigate and attend the escalation calls
- Document the procedures and prepare the Technical task documents (SOP).
- Assist in defining and coordinating the team project activities.
- Ensure the team performance meets or exceeds the defined SLA.
To be the right fit, you’ll need
- 10+ years’ experience in Infrastructure support
- Expert in core Linux and VMware skills
- Understanding of OS level troubleshooting
- Awareness of Storage concepts
- Understanding of pro-active infrastructure monitoring
- Awareness of ITIL processes
- Should have done client coordination on daily basis and managing escalations
It’s good to have:
- Experience in Configuration Management tool like Chef
- Certification in ITIL foundation
